Mission
Kobaloni Energy aims to build the first large-scale, battery-grade cobalt sulphate refinery in Africa to provide a reliable supply of high quality, traceable cobalt sulphate to electric vehicle manufacturers.
We will produce according to high ethical and environmental standards and create benefits for host communities by adding value to vital minerals close to their source.
Vision

Our name
The name “Kobaloni” is derived from the word for cobalt in the Cichewa language, which is widely spoken in Zambia. Our name is therefore closely linked to our base of operations in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.

Environmentally sustainable processes
Our facility is designed to meet stringent world-class environmental standards, and will minimise water and energy consumption from production processes. We intend to use renewable sources of energy to power our operations to the extent possible.
Responsibly sourced feedstock
We aim to supply all electric vehicle customers with a traceable record of our cobalt sulphate from mine to battery.
Raw material will only be supplied by reputable, mechanised mines that have been audited to industry supply chain standards, ensuring full traceability.
